This 4 days’ adventure leads you to Uganda’s largest conservation area(Murchison Falls National Park). You get to see the world’s most powerful falls, do nature walks, and game viewing. Expect to see animals like the Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos, monitor lizards, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, impalas, chimpanzees, rhinos, and so on. This safari mainly focuses on search of the African big 5(lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo) and chimpanzee tracking.

Day 1 Transfer to Murchison Falls.
You will be met by your guide for transfer to Murchison falls National Park. You are to have lunch on the way and arrival to the park will be in the afternoon. You check in and continue our journey to the River Nile so as to have a boat trip. On your way to the Nile, you pass through the famous Budongo forest where you will encounter a number of primate species including olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and so on. While on the boat trip, expect to see a number of aquatic birds, hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards and so on. The boat trip continues to the bottom of the falls where you will have an opportunity to see how the Victoria Nile plunges over 45 meters over the Remnant rift valley wall thus creating the amazing Murchison Falls. You will also be able to see the rainbow that appears on the top of the falls all day. After here, check in lodge for evening accommodation.

Day 2 Full Day Game drive
We are to wakeup very early for breakfast and then cross river Nile(by ferry). We are to have a full day searching for game on this side of the Nile as it is home to Rothchild’s giraffes, lions,big herds of elephants, buffaloes, impalas, waterbucks, hyenas, hartebeests, leopards and so on. We are to have a lunch break and another game drive in the evening so as to maximize the chances of spotting as much game as possible. We then drive to the camp for evening accommodation.

Day 3 Optional Activities
We wakeup for breakfast and have an option to take part in a number of optional activities. These include; visiting the hot springs, taking a community boat cruise on the Albert Nile(3 to 4 hours) which provides an opportunity for viewing many water birds including the shoe bill, grey crowned crane, African Fish Eagle, hippos, buffalos elephants and so on. You may also decide to have a performance from a local community at a campfire, a nice way to end your evening.

Day 4 Chimpanzee tracking
You wake up for early breakfast and then are transferred to Kaniyo Pabidi where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee tracking. You then enter into the rain forest(with your packed lunch) to search for chimpanzees. Chimps are taken to be man’s closest relatives and share 97% of human DNA. Their way of life provides a clue to that of our early ancestors. The walk may take 1 to 4 hours depending on where you will find chimpanzees on that day. You will also learn about the different bird and primate species that you will encounter as you search for the chimpanzees. Having met them chimps, you will be given a full hour to share with them and then get out of the forest. You will then be transferred to Masindi town for overnight as you get ready to get face to face with a white rhino the next day.

Day 5 Rhino Tracking and transfer to Kampala
Having had breakfast, you will be transferred to Ziwa rhino sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you can still see rhinos in the wild. The activity begins with a short briefing before you enter into the jungle to search for the creatures. You will track rhinos on foot under the guidance of an armed guide and game ranger. Remember, rhinos are among the big five and therefore play a big role in the eco system. You will then be transferred to your desired destination in Kampala hence end of service.

This safari will be confirmed after receiving at least 1/4 of the quoted price, the remaining balance can be settled on arrival. On this tour, you can remove the bits you do not want and add ones that you want to suit your budget and interest.
