Day 1 Arrival

On arrival at Entebbe, you will be welcomed by your guide for transfer to your Hotel in Kampala.   It’s on this day that you will be briefed about your whole tour.

Day 2 Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

You will wake up for breakfast and then start your journey to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. This is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild.  You will track rhinos on foot and see them from a safe distance with a special guide. We then have lunch, relax a bit and have an evening nature walk in the sanctuary in search for birds. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is home to over 250 bird species and these include; cattle egrets, African crowned eagle, African Broadbill, herons, kingfishers, great blue turaco, European bee eater, yellow billed stork and so on.

Day 3 Shoebill tracking and transfer to Kitgum

We wake up for mighty breakfast do shoebill tracking in the nearby swamp. Expect to see more bird species including the African jacana, guinea fowls, yellow billed stalks, grey crowned cranes,little bee eater and so more.

Day 4 – Kideppo Valley  National Park

We wake up at mighty breakfast prepared by our accommodation and then continue our journey into Kiddepo Valley National Park. We begin with a game drive and then check in our lodge and then have lunch. We relax and have an evening game drive later in the afternoon in search for lion, leopard, elephant, hyena, warthog, giraffe, mongoose and zebra. Kideppo is the only Uganda’s park where you can see the cheetah and ostrich.

 Day 5  Kideppo National Park and visit a Karimajong community.

We wake up for breakfast and then have a morning game drive.  We drive back to our accommodation for lunch as we prepare for a cultural experience with the Karimajong community which includes a cultural performance and a camp fire. These are nomadic pastoralists and their way of life has not been affected by civilization.

Day 6 –Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, we start our journey back to Murchison Falls National park, Uganda’s largest. We enter via the northern end(Tangi gate) and have a game drive which leads us to the River Nile .This is the world’s longest river. We check in the lodge and relax.

Day 7 Morning game drive, boat trip and transfer to Masindi

Having had breakfast, we enjoy a morning game drive which leads us to the Queens track to search for lion, antelopes,buffaloes,elephants,hyenas, giraffes e.t.c. We later have a boat trip on the Nile River which is likely to give you chances to crocodiles, monitor lizards, hippos and the Murchison falls. You will then hike to the top of the falls following the same route used by European Explorer Sir Samuel Baker and his wife Florence Baker. This hike gives best views of the Murchison Falls. We then drive to Masindi town for overnight.

Day 8 Transfer to FortPortal 

Having had breakfast, we embark on the long drive to Fort Portal town for overnight keeping in mind you will hike Uganda’s highest mountain the next day.. The whole journey will be through the green plant cover that Uganda is known for. We are to have lunch on the way and arrival will be in the evening.

Day 9 Hike The Rwenzori

The Rwenzori mini trek will start at the local village of Kazingo 14
Km west of Fort Portal town in Kabarole district. From here you will
start your ascent along the unmarked paths meeting many locals along
the way. You will see how people in the Rwenzoris live in huts with no
electricity and running water.
You will also enter the Mountain Rwenzori National park where you will
 find a number of bird species and primates. 

Note that this is the third highest mountain in Africa and the only place in the world where it snows at the equator.
Very early this morning, you will be transferred from your camping ground to the base of the mountain/Kazingo. At around 08:30, hike into the Rwenzoris to your first
campsite. (1500m). The trek is through beautiful sceneries which Rwenzori is
 famous for. If time allows, you will have an option to visit a black smith or have a coffee tour or visit an apiary project a good way to get involved in the local activities.

 DAY 10 Hike the Karangora peak and descend

The second phase of the trek shall be aimed at climbing Karangora Peak, an excellent hike from the National Park Boundary,following the Mpanga River up a beautiful valley; you will also get to see the source of this famous Fort Portal River. (River Mpanga).  Expect to be passing stunning views of the Rift Valley, Lake Albert, and western Uganda.

At the summit of Karangora, the highest peak of the Northern Rwenzori Mountains, views west to Bundibugyo and the Congo, south to Kasese, east to Fort Portal, and north to the Semuliki Rift Valley. 


The2nd day trek shall be through Mountain Rwenzori National
park starting from the forestry zone which is famous
for different vegetation zones, the three horned chameleon and several types of medicinal plants. You will get to know their uses to the locals. Expect to see many
 primates and birds. In the early evening, you will descend down to Nyabiswa village for transfer to your Hotel to relax.

Day 11 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.p, boat trip and evening game drive

This morning, we drive to Queen Elizabeth for an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga channel and an evening  game drive through Kasenyi. This is where you can spot the most antelopes such as, kobs, hartebeest, impalas, waterbucks, and so on.

Day 12 Morning game drive and Hike through the Bunyaruguru crater lakes(optional) 

Having had breakfast, we have a morning game drive in Kasenyi  sector of the park. After lunch you may opt to have a walk through the Bunyaruguru crater lakes region. This is a good place for sight seeing.

Day 13 Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, we prepare ourselves for the once in a life time experience (chimpanzee tracking).You may track the chimps in Kalinzu Forest. This activity is a bit challenging but very rewarding, so expect to walk for one to six hours depending on where the chimps will be on this day. Having encountered them, you will have a full hour with them. The chimpanzees’ behavior can provide a clue to that of our early ancestors. You will feed on packed lunch.

After the chimpanzee trek, we drive through Ishasha(Known for the rare tree climbing lions) to Bwindi impenetrable forest.  Check in your lodge and prepare for tomorrows activity- gorilla tracking.

Day 14 Gorilla tracking and transfer to lake Bunyonyi

After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, you enter the Impenetrable forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 45 minutes to 6 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to interact with gorillas and then return to your accommodation. You will be close to a mountain gorilla, the most endangered and muscular primate on earth. This is one of the most breath taking experiences on earth.  We then drive to lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake. The views here are breath taking. It is also a perfect place to relax after a long day in the forest.

Day 15 Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

Having had breakfast, we check out of the park and travel to Kampala. This is where your 14 days’ adventure ends.
