This 8 days’ tour leads you to Queen Elizabeth National park where you will have chance to see a number of savannah fauna and flora. This park has 10 primate species and over 600 birds have been recorded in the past years. You then continue to southwest of Uganda to track the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Relax at Lake Bunyonyi and participate in a number of optional activities there before your transfer back to Entebbe airport.

Day 1.Arrival

On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed/picked up by your guide for transfer to your hotel in Kampala. On this day you will be briefed about your whole tour.

Day 2. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Having had breakfast at leisure, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. This is the water stream that joins lakes Edward and George and is said to have the largest concentration of hippos in the world. It is also known as the CENTER OF ECOLOGY due to many animals and bird species recorded on its banks. You then check in your lodge for evening accommodation.

Day 3. Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today you wake up very early for the morning game drive through Mweya to see a number of animals. Expect to see elephants, warthogs, lions,leopards,cheetas,buffaloes,hippos,waterbucks,topis,Uganda kob, over 600 bird species, and many more. You then drive back to your lodge for late breakfast.

Having had some rest, you have lunch and then go to the Kasenyi sector in search for more game.

Day 4 Transfer to Ishasha

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ishasha. This is the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and is famous for the tree climbing lions. This is a rare wildlife encounter and is common in only two parks in Africa. We check in the lodge and have an evening game drive in search for lions, hyenas, leopards,buffaloes, elephants and so on.

Day 5. Transfer to Bwindi.

Today, you will have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Bwindi. On your way there, you will see beautiful sceneries, the ever green plant cover which Uganda is known for and the terraced hills. Bwindi Impenatrable forest is home to more than half of the world’s surviving mountain gorillas, many other primates and many bird species. Arriving will be in the late afternoon and then check in your lodge for evening accommodation.

Day 6. Gorilla tracking.

After a mighty breakfast prepared by your accommodation, you enter the Impenetrable forest with your packed lunch to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be ready to walk for 45 minutes to 7 hours depending on where you will find the gorillas that day. Having encountered them, you will be given a full hour to interact with gorillas and then return to your accommodation. In case you return early, you will enjoy cultural dances from the local community before checking in your lodge.

Day 7 Lake Bunyonyi.

After having breakfast at leisure, you will be led by your guide to Uganda’s deepest and most beautiful lake. It is also known as ‘THE LAKE OF 100 ISLANDS’. This is some where you will feel relaxed after the tracking activities in Bwindi. While there, you can join a number of optional activities including, canoeing, bird watching, hiking to the nearby falls and forests, visiting a local community, swimming and so on. Note that only Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mutanda have been proved bilharzias free in Uganda and are safe to swim in.

Day 8 Transfer to Kampala.

After having breakfast, we embark on the long journey back to Entebbe so as to catch your flight back home. Enroute we shall have lunch and a stop at Kayabwe (equator village) for taking photos and do a bit of souvenir shopping. Arrival will be in the evening.
